The Constitutional Republic of the United States of America as envisioned by the Founding Fathers has been the first, best, and may be the last system of government and economy to facilitate the best effort that a secular world can offer for a Christian worldview. This may be coming to an end. As President Ronald Reagan said:
“One of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it once was like in American when men were free. One day, as Norman Thomas said, we will awake to find that we have socialism.”
